Snowdrops is not the kind of book I was expecting but I thought it was a cracking read. The front cover and title made me think it was going to be a thriller. In a way it is but not the types I was thinking/5.

Snowdrops is a novel by A. Miller which was shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize. Plot. The novel is set in Moscow in the mid-nineties and is written in the form of first-person narrative by the protagonist, Nicholas, an English, Moscow-based commercial lawyer.

Nicholas gets involved with two Russian girls, Masha, with whom he is romantically involved, and Katya. The book mentioned above, and Margaret Baker, in her well known book "Discovering the Folklore of Plants"mentions that, along with other spring flowers, bringing snowdrops into the house could affect the number of eggs that a sitting chicken might hatch.

Snowdrops is both a very good novel and a slightly disappointing one. Good, because the writing has tremendous pace and energy. Good, because the.
